1. Who we are
The data controller is MAKE WEB SHIFT S.R.L., registered office at Str. Sg. Constantin Boghiu 15, București, tax ID (CUI) 46543579, email contact@makewebshift.com, phone 0729 078 617 (“we”). This policy explains what data we collect through makewebshift.com, why, and what rights you have under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Romanian Law no. 190/2018.
2. What we collect
- Contact form data: name, email address, company and phone (optional), the selected service and budget, and your message.
- Correspondence: the data you send us when you email us directly.
- Technical data: the hosting provider may automatically log your IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and to keep the site running.
3. Why we use it and on what basis
- To reply to you and send a proposal — based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and on pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse — based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To meet legal obligations (e.g. accounting) if we become contractual partners (Art. 6(1)(c)).
4. Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your data. We use the following providers, who process it on our behalf:
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) — forwards contact-form messages to our email address;
- Google (Gmail) — our email provider;
- our website hosting provider Vercel Inc. (USA).
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the USA). In such cases the transfer relies on appropriate safeguards, such as the adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep it
We keep messages received through the form or by email for at most 2 years after our last exchange, unless we start working together. If we do, data is kept for the duration of the contract and afterwards for as long as the law requires (e.g. 10 years for accounting records).
6. Cookies
The site uses no analytics or marketing cookies and loads no third-party resources while you browse (fonts are hosted on the site). We only store your chosen language in your browser (localStorage) so the site shows in the same language next time; this is never sent to us.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. To exercise them, email contact@makewebshift.com; we reply within one month.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), 28-30 G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru Blvd, Sector 1, Bucharest, www.dataprotection.ro.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the last update.
