What changes the price
Two sites can look alike and cost very different amounts. The difference almost always comes from the same few things:
- How many pages the site has and who writes the copy
- What it has to do: a contact form is one thing, bookings, payments or an online store are another
- Integrations with what you already use: invoicing, couriers, CRM
- Design based on a template or made from scratch
- How many languages it needs
The clearer you are about what the site has to do for your business, the easier the price is to estimate.
The cost doesn’t stop at launch
Many people budget only for the build. A site also needs hosting, a domain, updates, backups and, now and then, changes: a new price, a new service, a new person on the team.
For that part we have monthly plans, starting at €150 per month. The simplest one, Site Care, covers hosting, updates, backups and up to 2 hours of changes per month. If you pay yearly, you get two months free.
How to get a clear price
We start with a free conversation about what you want to achieve. After it you get a fixed quote or a staged estimate, so you know the budget up front. For large projects I usually suggest a smaller first version that launches quickly and then grows based on what works.
What to watch out for
- The domain and accounts should be in your name
- You should get the source code, so you don’t depend on a single provider
- You should know up front who looks after the site after launch and what that costs
A low price at the start can turn out expensive if you can’t change anything without paying every time.
